Overview
iGeocacher is designed with your privacy in mind. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Location Data
iGeocacher requests access to your location while the app is in use. Location data is used solely to:
- Display your current position on the compass and map
- Calculate distance and bearing to geocache waypoints
- Provide audio proximity alerts via the sonar feature
Your location data is processed on-device only. It is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server or third party.
GPX Files
GPX files that you open in iGeocacher are read and stored locally on your device. The app does not upload, share, or transmit the contents of your GPX files.
Data Storage
iGeocacher saves your loaded waypoints, selected target, and ad hoc waypoints to your device's local storage so they persist between sessions. This data remains on your device and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.
Third-Party Services
iGeocacher does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. The app makes no network requests.
Children's Privacy
iGeocacher does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
